The PF raiser had AJo

I was a bit wary of the raiser calling from EP which made me think he had to have AJ or something even better. I figured i would call and take a look at the flop and then went from there. In hindsight i think the only mistake i made is maybe re-raising him on the flop before he hits his Ace. Either way this probably got the most money out of him.
Funny thing is i read Piers post on blind defense today tried it 3 times with marginal hands for 3/3

I disagree with Tibs on the counting outs part. You're heads-up so it isn't likely many (or any) of your outs are tainted, so don't go cutting everything in half.

Even if he has AXs, it has to be of spades. Cutting all those outs in half is ridiculous and I stand by that.

An 8, 3, or 5 is almost a guaranteed winner. It's even unlikely your 7 outs are tainted. This is an early position raiser, so it's unlikely he has something like A8. 100% of the time here at least 8 of your outs are clean. Even if he has AA, you have 8 outs. If he has two spades (and an ace), you still have 6 outs on the OESD, 2 outs with the 5 (the 5s is already on the board), and your 7 outs could still be clean (here's where I agree you can discount the outs slightly).
