Is it a good or bad move to fold A3o from the BB when there is an EP raiser and a LP caller? May be a noob question but that's me.

Its fairly general, but I'm gonna say fold it most of the time you are dominated by another A

I am not a big fan of calling EP raises with much of anything, particularly weak or even moderate aces (A10 for example). Muck those in my opinion. Perhaps a little tight for some but just too easy to find yourself dominated by a better hand and being out of position won't allow you to extract much of anything even if you have the best hand after the flop in most instances.

The reason I'm asking in the first place is that I'm having a hard time not spewing chips from the blinds. I want to protect them just like everyone else does but I seem to lose more from the blinds than I should be. When I look at my PT stats, I look good most everyplace except the blinds. I am losing money from 1 position other than the blinds after 9500 hands but it isn't much (~$20). But I'm shocked by how much money I lose from those positions! Look at the "Diff w/o Blind" stat. HOLY CRAP!!!! I am doing something amazingly wrong and it must be from the blinds!!!!!!!!!! Would I be better off just folding my blinds every damn time except with AA & KK? Or maybe sitting out everytime I'm in the blinds and then sitting back in and paying them when the button goes past me? I'd hate to do that cuz I think it would piss everyone off.

These stats are from a few different limits but I don't see that making much of a difference.

If someone's raising from EP, I assume they have a pretty good hand until they give me a good reason to believe otherwise - like seeing them raise from EP with junk.

Even then, I almost never play A3o (in the 86 times I've had it not in the blinds, I've played it exactly twice - both times in CO. Once in a 5-handed game, and once when everyone folded around to me). There's not really much you can do with it except spike another Ace and hope nobody else has one. Given that very few people will fold any Ace pre-flop, that's not a chance I want to take.

Easy fold. If it were a suited ace and there were a couple cold-callers, then it could be worthwhile to make the call. In that case (with the cold-callers), you can also call with many suited cards in general.

In the BB I call raises with every pocket pair and suited cards higher than ten, obviously raising with the better ones.
