Overall it was a good session. I doubled up early which relaxed me and I played good poker. The only negative was there was a fish that I had position on for the entire 2 hours and couldn’t bust. He was double stacked and so was I and we get mixed up twice in big hand and both times he sucked out on me to take ½ the pot.

I think that I need to be playing position a little better. I keep getting mixed up in hands OOP with the nut flush draw and 3rd nut low. Then the low hits and I don’t know what to do.

I may only have won 0.92 on this hand but I still like the way that I played it. On the flop I didn’t want to mix it up because I was OOP. I was thinking that I would CR if the low hit and check call a reasonable bet if it didn’t. The low did hit and I got a huge chunk of money in with the best hand.

Overall, it was a strange session. I was playing on Multipoker to clear a bonus and there just weren’t enough good tables so I started branching out and playing other games. At one point I was playing 1 tables of .5/1 Limit O8, 2 tables of OHigh, and 1 tables of $25 SH O8. It got very exciting. I also forgot how much fun playing SH O8 is. It is great to clear bonuses and it is so much easier to exploit the fish.

After a flat call on both the flop and the turn I think I should have check called the river. This one isn’t that bad but I have the tendency to think that fish never pick up good hands. I need to learn to slow down even against fish.

Overall, an eh session. Played short handed at Multi and finished clearing a bonus. I ended up bleeding off chips because I ran into a LAG and I couldn’t make a hand. It was very frustrating. I lost every single A2 that I played today

I still ended up eeking out a positive day which is good, but I don’t like PLO8 $25 players thinking they can outplay me. I take that back. I like them thinking they can outplay me but I don’t like it when I don’t get the cards to prove them wrong.

Hey goop, what multipoker bonus?

I did the IGMPAY bonus. I hadn't done it yet and 5x sounds really good; cleared the $100 bonus in a litte over 3 hours.

Started playing a $100 table and a $50 table which dried up in a hurry. This I switched to $25 tables, and played 6 until I cleared the party bonus. Not bad 4 hours $85 from the tables $100 from the bonus.

Overall, I was a little disappointed about how the $25 tables went. I busted a bunch of people early and went up $100 then got sucked out a couple of times and was back down to $60. Then I only won $25 over the next 500 hands. I sat at a $25 table that had an average pot of $32 and I couldn’t pick up a hand. Then when I did pick up a hand I would get sucked out grrrrr.

I guess that I should feel good that I felt like I had a bad session and still made $20/hr. I still can’t believe that I can make that kind of money playing poker because it wasn’t that long ago that I was just a break even player. I have all of my poker playing in a spreadsheet and I was looking at the graph of my PLO8 winnings. I am break even through my first 130 sessions, and then suddenly the graph starts tearing upward. I don’t totally know what happened I guess something finally clicked.

Opponent was a total fish so I really like this play. I knew that he would be if checked to and it gave me the chance to see how everyone else reacted to his bet. Since nobody else seemed interested in the flop I thought that I could get HU against the fish and TPTK + nut low draw is going to be +EV in this situation.

Jurrassic was a total fish so I think it was as likely that he was playing a set then the same str8. I though that the would protect me from the 3rd player calling down with the flush draw which is obviously didn’t. Against 2 fish I don’t think that I played this horribly (I did have odds all the way down); however, I think this is another case where I need to know when to slow down even against the fishies.

These all look in the ball park to me. The only one that concerns me is W$SF is a little low. However, most of these hands have been me 4-6 tabling at the $25 tables. Semi-bluffs and steals don't work very well in those conditions.

This one wasn’t that bad but I don’t know why I continue to call these raises with marginal hands. I need one of those shocking dog collars.

Holy roller coaster batman. I went up $150 in the first ½ hour. I then lost a coin flip (nut low with protection + nut flush draw vs. top set) for a stack. Then I stacked someone else so I was back to $150. Then I played well and stole a bunch of pots to get up to $220. Then I made a horrible call (so horrible I am embarrassed to post it) which brought me back to $150.

The moral of the story I need to tighten up more. I keep seeing fish throwing around money and I get exited thinking that some of that money can come my way. Then I get an OK hand and overplay it against a fish. This was shown in todays horrible call as well as the rash of calling raises pre-flop with A5s.

I wonder if this is in part the amount of tables I am playing. I play 4-6 $25 tables and only 2 $100 tables. I am getting a little board so that might be causing me to get out of line a little bit. I am going to work very hard to rein this in for the next few sessions.

glad i could help you at all with my limited O8 experience. Just makes good poker sense to try to save money on the river bluff. the other day, I bet pot the river with the nut boat and he called thinking i had the busted flush draw. He was a decent player and I actually believe that if I value bet it instead, he would have folded.

Short session; sat down at a couple good locking $100 tables which quickly dried up, then sat down at a bunch of $25 tables which dried up. This flip flopping between tables meant my multi-table ratio was very low and I didn’t see very many hands.

Even though my opponent was a total donk and I caught the perfect turn card I like the way that I played this. Raise pre-flop to get position and control of the pot. Bet the flop for fold equity as well as the ability to check behind on the turn. Bet the turn because I am probably free-rolling. The only hand that really worries me is A23 and I still have outs against that.

I don’t think that I played this that badly but this just shows why I don’t like AA4, AA5 type hands OOP. Next time I think I am just going to limp into him and see what he does.

why did you fold "the bad" hand in your last post... i love your hand HU. you can't really be worried about A2 w/ 2pr or a str8 against a random hand.

the way i see it, you've got one side of the pot pretty much locked up (don't know which), and you might be ahead both ways. plus, you have fold equity out the yin-yang. you might get stacked here occassionally by a miracle hand, but you'll steal your fair share of pots and do plenty of stacking yourself.
