When someone check-re-raises he can probably beat A high.

Probably the biggest leak in my Limit game is taking AK too high when I know my opponent is loose aggressive. I'm so convinced I have him beat pre-flop that I will often call with A high to the river not believing that he could possibly beat me with T9 offsuite when he flops a pair of 9's or something similar. I can make this laydown much easier to better players. This doesn't happen to me in NL or MTT's because it's much easier to get away from when it means your entire stack as opposed to a bet or two, but I'm pretty sure these laydowns turned my night from breakeven into slightly profitable.

A frequent bluffer, but did I really think he would 3 bet with A high. Usually I would call after I already raised the flop, but even if I hit an A or K on the turn it could be my worst nightmare. Does anybody think he doesn't have a full house or even quads there?

With the straight and and the flush draw on board, even though I knew my opponent was very loose and frequently bluffed, I couldn't be sure even if I hit an A or K on the river that it was good.

Yeah hand 1 he probably has like 78 suited or something probably worse with a 7 in it, there's no way he plays quads or a full like that I dunno what you're thinking.

Hand 2 if you think he's a chronic bluffer you can try raising the turn and get a free showdown or possible fold, if he 3 bets you fold, either way it costs 1-2 bb. I'd probably just fold in that spot too.

AK makes its most money from big family pots and hitting an A or K,almost never from calling down unimproved (especially at full ring)

You might be right, but he wasn't a very good player and it was a $1/$2 game. Anyway the point was that I was able to get away from it without getting into a pissing match.

Looked over my AK offsuit stats today. I've lost money the last 11 times I've seen a flop with the hand. And out of 26x dealt on one particular site in 2,226 hands I have only a 38.46 winning % for -$63.15 or -1.09 BB/Hand. Out of those 26x, 10x was in the blinds. So I guess position counts for something.
