What are everyone's thoughts on PS' 9-player SNGs? Sure, there's one less player to eliminate, but there's also 10% less money in the prize pool. I much prefer having ten players with the bigger prize pool. Who cares if there's only one less player to knock out? Most SNG players are so terrible I'm not worried about one extra competitor - as long as more money is in the prize pool as a result.

i doubt that there is really that much EV difference when you factor in the fact that sometimes that player will be good and knock you out of the money and/or that extra person sucks out on you often enough (even if rarely) to lower substantially the EV from their "dead money" contribution.
