I put him on 77 and wanted to see some cards cheaply, I feel the bets I did enabled me to do that, as well as building the pot enough that an A, J, T, or club fell that they might get tied to the pot. I very very very rarely bet like this, but I felt it was worth it in this case. My only other thought was to get AI on the flop, but I didn't think he'd reraise me.

Not sure why I didn't raise this PF, probably mixing it up a bit.

I'm not sure I understand the reasons for the small raise on the flop. I'd certainly consider a full pot bet on the turn - it seems highly likely you're ahead and there's now a lot of cards that hurt you. Also I raise PF but you said that in your post.

if you put him on 77, no way I raise that flop, even the min raise as too many people will push with a bare set and if he has the set with a draw, you are very likely to be reraised.

I likely bet full pot on the turn or close to it. The river bet is pointless in my mind. just check.

I played it this way because I felt like that it allowed me to keep others in the hand. I would have loved to get it AI on the flop, but these guys can be pretty passive, and would just call me down, not reraise. The min raise basicly scares the other guy off, making him hold back on a bit turn bet for fear of me.

I dunno. If I had it again I would probably play it more aggressivly.
