RLPTheMaster was the laggiest play I have seen at the PLO8 $100 games. Over 40 hand his stats were VP$IP 80, PRF 50, WtSD 50, FlopAgg 8, TurnAgg 6. When he raised I had yet to see him not make a continuation bet and I had seen him call down with TPNK already.

Anyone not call pre-flop? Anyone make a play at this guy?

Pre-flop I only called beacuse I new I was going to be HU and IP. This guy was going to give his stack to someone so I was willing to gamble a little to hit a decent flop. I am just wondering is this is a decent enough flop.

i love playing for my stack with LAGs like this, but A33T is definitely NOT what I want to go into battle with. A35T... great. A3TQ... great. The lack of low counterfeit protection and the lack of good high potential seriously weakens this hand. Specifically, if you make a decent high (like in OP), then you have bupkus for low (even backdoor).

the LAG really put you to the test -- he could have the QK for the str8, he could have a crappy flush draw, and/or he could have a crappy backdoor low draw... among other bizarro possibilities. all you've really got here is 2pr with a board that can develop lots of ways -- none particularly beneficial to you. as such, i fold.

i think that a key point to be taken from this example is that you/we need to figure out what hands we are willing to play with the intention of playing for our stacks. i've been thinking about this a lot, and i think that there is really a two-part analysis. first, what hands do i like pf. second, what flops do i like continuing with. the post-flop concpets actually go a long way towards determining the pf hand selection. furthermore, as you can't really nut peddle, i think that the post-flop analysis is very nuanced . again, i am a big wintermute fanboy, as he seems to have lots of interesting things to say on this topic. he talks about this stuff much more eloquently than I.
