Ok, so how bad was my turn raise? I thought I sensed weakness but... apparently not. Obviously once the CO called I knew I was way behind and wasn't putting another bet in unless I walk into two pair/trips.

Does anyone like the turn raise here with the plan to check behind (and fold to a 3 bet) unless I catch another 7/a non club 8, or am I just kidding myself?

I don't particularly like your Raise or call here but I like they way they played their hands much less the whole way through. With the SB leading out into you both on the turn I figure him for something that can beat a 7 even if it is a 7 with a better kicker and with a whole bunch of other stuff out there to contend with I might just go ahead and dump it in the muck but in lieu of a fold I like the raise much more than the call with the intention of checking it down without improvement on the river and the reason for this is the SB may just be betting out with the naked K or Q of clubs here but I just don't think I want to get involved any further after he bets out on the turn, maybe weak tight but most of the time that is the play I make here barring an extremely good read on my opponent.
