As you may or may not know, shorthanded limit hold em (my current stomping ground) has been treating me like shit so I decided to go back to my roots just for a bit of a change of pace today, and I played some PLO. I played PLO for regularly at the $100 tables on partypoker when $100 was the biggest they offered. I haven't played with any consistency AT ALL since then, so I figured I'd be a bit rusty. I played some $400 PLO and went 0-3 with top set but still managed to squeek out a tiny profit. I would like thoughts on the following hands.

Man, you play really different than I do. I understand that 6-handed $400 plo is different than $200 full ring, but still. Here's my take on the hands:

Hand 1) My first reaction is to checkraise the turn. However, that means he won't give you more money if he's on a bluff, and he will call (and put you in a tough spot on the river) with a set or a baby flush. Maybe your line is good, although you must have a decent read to justify not folding the flop.

Hand 2) You seem to bet ragged flops from EP into a pf raisor when you have nothing and checkraise when you have it. (At least, that was what struck me as a pattern in the hands you posted). If that is really habitual, then an observant opponent will take advantage. Anyway, after you get called on the flop, what do you put your opponent on?

Hand 3) I would bet the turn, maybe $60. As played, I think the river bet is fine.

Hand 4) I wouldn't invest the least bit in this hand after seeing that flop. The river bet is ok, although you are probably going to get called.

Hand 5) Probably ok against the right type of opponent

Hand 6) Fine

Hand 7) I would probably not reraise pf. I trust you're not questioning your flop play?

Hand 8) I guess you win this often enough to make it +EV, although I would be wary of the fact that your opponent has you likely pegged for aces and will therefore be more inclined to call with his straight. If he has a small flush so be it.

Anyway, all of the hands you posted are quite hard to judge without reads or a feel for the situation, so my comments may be far off.

hand 1 (all i have time for now)... WA/WB. i dump it on the flop and look for better opportunities. if i play it, i CR on the flop and don't put any more money in after that. a CR on the turn is definitely a more refined move, but that is A LOT of money to put in the pot on a semi-bluff. fold on the flop seems about right to me.

also, if possible, could you try to do one or two (preferably one) hand(s) per post so that we don't have to scroll up and down so much to find the HH info.

btw... glad you're playing Omaha again.
