So is "Check N Raise" a new variation where you're not allowed to simply call?

I signed up for the site but when attemting the download I coluldn't get it to work. The Java application works fine but will not be PT compatible. At 3-6 and above this bonus will clear lightening fast. They are also giving the bonus in 10.00 increments for every 70 points earned (1 rake = 0.7 pts, 2 rake = 1.4 pts, 3 rake = 2.1 pts.).

I haven't used the Java app to play, but the site itself is PT compatible, though only for ring games. You just use the Pokerroom auto import function. There is some PT issue for players who try to play at the Pokerroom sites and the Prima sites. You've got to download a few files from the PT website, but Pat has a walkthru posted.

yeah finally got all the correct files downloaded to handle the import from all the sites. Don't know what to do about this download. Perhaps going to uninstall whatever is on it and try again as I am getting the same message today about it not being able to finish and to try later.

The $.50/$1 tables look pretty soft - I was seeing anywhere from 40%-60% seeing the flop, with 8BB average pot sizes. At the rake they take from those tables, I could probably clear my bonus in 12K hands or so - definitely doable in the 90-day window they give you...

Any idea how good their customer service is, or how easy it is to get the cash back out?

When they were their own entity, their customer service was great. When they re-opened, they called me to anounce the date and they gave me a free $100 to come back and play. I am slightly disappointed because I e-mailed them last night with a question and I still haven't hear back from them yet. When I do, I'll let you know how long it took for them to respond.

As for cashouts, their site says no more than two days. I cashed out last week to test it and it hit my neteller account the next day.

The bonus works out to 1c per every 10c raked from a pot. So basically it's a 100% rakeback assuming you're playing 10-handed tables and that you win your share of pots exactly. Not too bad. I may have to check this out.

Does the program run on your browser?? It doesn't show any "download" stuff on their site. This seems weird to me, but maybe that's just my inexperience talking.

For instance, if you ran it in Internet Explorer, wouldn't you be opening yourself up to all sorts of hacks? I'm no computer geek, but from everything I hear IE is hackable like nothing else.... (I would run it on Mozilla, but ... I would still worry I guess.)

Anyway. Please advise, anybody with experience. I'm interested but a bit wary about this type of interface.
