You must always use two cards from your hand and 3 from the board to make a hand.
(So in this case you really only had the straight 10 to Ace.)

Unlike in Holdem where it is any seven.

Hope that helps. It takes some getting use to if you are use to playing Holdem. Well it did for me.

If I can just remember that 4-to-a-flush and 4-to-a-straight on the board are pretty much meaningless in Omaha, unlike hold-em, I should be ok.

Another gotcha that's almost tripped me up - if you have a pair in your hand, and the flop pairs another one of your cards, you do NOT have 2-pair...

its a good thing you are learning this at low levels. at plo, that would have cost you a stack.

Another one I just ran into - 593 flop when I had A995 in my hand (in the BB, of course) - my first thought - "Cool! A full house!". Then I thought about it for a second, and realized I only had top set, which still isn't bad...
