Okay I just started playing PLO this week. I have been a holdem player for about a year and a half but just cannot win at holdem any longer by bad streak has gone on so long I just feel like I have no Idea what I am doing anymore. I switched to limit won about $600 over 7000 hands in July lost it all in august well almost all, I still had some seed money left like $120. Then I did a couple of bonuses and started playing nlhe, which I played exclusively prior to July. Well I was doing ok got back to $1000 playing .25/. 50 nlhe and .5/1nlhe(I know I didn't have the bankroll for it but those are the limits I am used to) well I play nlhe with about a vip of about 23% pfaf of about 1.5 and pf raise around 5. I know I am not very aggressive. Well the bottom fell out tons rags couldn't hit any flops and many second best hands. I feel like I have no Idea what I am doing playing holdem anymore. So I try O8 I am a sucker at that so I recently tried PLO. I love it. However I see too many flops but the number is decreasing rapidly. I am very passive post flop and am playing very weak tight. I have been playing at UB/Pokershare and at the new Party $.1/. 25. I know I don't have enough hands to make any kind of judgment, only like 400 hands. I feel like I have known where I was in every hand. I think something that Norm Chad said on the WSOP tourney stuck in my head. "PLO is a game of the nuts". This being my philosophy hence the weak tight post flop play. I need the nuts or a shot at the nuts to call a big raise, or to make a big raise. I am quite content to stay at $.1/. 25 while I am learning the game.

as I look at PT omaha I have 8 hands where I have lost more than $2, 3 of them over $10 with the highest being $18.xx 2 of the 3 were rivered beats.
I have 22 hands with wins more that $2.00, 8 of them more than $10 with 4 over $20 bb/100 the highest being $55

I used to play a bit of PLO but kept on forgetting that it was a game of the nuts. Betting and raising with King high flushes killed me.

I am at work now and was thinking about my best hand I played last night. It suddenly hits me that I had misread the board and got lucky on the river. I had thought I had the nut straight on the flop when I was 4 to the straight and hit my straight card on the river. I called a $30 raise well I did have 10 outs. I feel like a fool. oh well It will just teach me to pay more attention next time. Hey I made a mistake and $60. cant beat that.

Tonight playing on Bodog .1/.25 I can catch nothing every time I bet with the best hand usually straights the board rivers either a flush or boat and I know I am beat. I am down to under $2 3 times (with the way the cards were running only added $10 early on figured id play with what I had on the table after that). So I am close to quitting I river my king high boat with only had k7 in my hand and board k792k. I don't think anyone had the k9 I have $2.50 left on the button the pot is $ 7.25 I hit my boat figure I am pushing the last $2 in 4 players left in the hand. Everyone disconnects including me. I check the hh later and won with my boat and finished with $9 and change. So I lost $26 on the night in about 3 hrs with some seriously good flops with horrible turns and rivers. If I was double suited the best I could hope for was one of my suite on the flop. I don't think I hit a flush all night. If I had low wrap cards 5678 flop kkq if I had a high wrap I would be drawing open ended to an A or a 9 (and no flush cards) and never hit like 5 times. I know I am about 5-1 against hitting so I guess I am due. I am feeling pretty good about my play I can pick up on the players who think they are playing Tx Holdem with four hole cards. I also know when I am beaten and don't pay off many hands. I need to get more aggressive though on Bodog I haven't seen too many pot size bets. I haven't been making enough of them either.

its been a while. first I suck at omaha I play well for hrs and lose my stack with some crap like a k high flush. havent played much omaha in a while.
I played stud for a while did okay at that.
Then I just played $5 sngs and tourneys at PS and Eurobet for a while. finished 4th in a $3 PS tourney with 1700 players won $225 there. I finaly cleard my PS bonus from October $120 there lost a bunch. playin limit O8 at PS I think I will just play Omaha when I feel like dumping some cash.
About a week ago I joined the Poker Players Aliance put some $ in Party and cleard the bonus in about 4 hrs. played tight agressive at times super weak tight at others finished the bonus up a little from play at $25 nl. I entered the PPmilion steps tourney got to level 4 before getting knocked back to level 3 and then to 2 where 3rd hand on the button with AJ 4th hand didn't raise being that early in the tourney flopped a j 7 with 2 clubs (i didnt have one) middle position goes all in I call he has k 10 suited in hearts catches his q on the river im down to 200 too early to recover.
I started playing some NL Ring games with my new improved tight style about 1500 hands vip in all categorys is under 20% agression is higher than I have ever had it before.

tonight played at William Hill again lost about $13 in 100 hands of $.5/$1 nlhe full ring cleared Dec bonus. I will give it a break for a couple of days and do January's bonus early.
I then signed up and put some $ in Titan poker they gave me a $10 instant deposit bonus. plus the 100% if you play there forever. played about 100 hands at $25/$.50 NLHE full ring was up $16 when I had AA on the button 5 limpers raised to $2.5 1 caller flop A[s] 10[c] 6[s] i bet $8 he called turn 8[s] knew i was in trouble he had $20 left so i pushed him he turns over 9[s] 2 and said they were suited oh well i lost it for a moment then he lost all he had won in 20 hands. i won a few small pots then limp in with J10off in late position flop comes a q k rainbow a guy in middle position raised i re raised we got all in on the turn and I won back my loss from the AA and more, up to $74 and change. had enough tonight and decided to revive the journal.

Today I played anbout 750 hands of $25 nl at Empire for the bonus only 270 raked but im up $103 right now(knock on wood) I played probably 100 hands at Titan $.25/$50 won about $12. my play is rated TA by excession's most recent rules. but i describe my play as weak tight. my VIP is around 16% pre flop raise 6% PFA 2 . WTSD% 22.07 W$ @ SD 59.26% W$wsflop 31.46% BB/100 15.24 This is only after 2000 hands so I know it doesn't mean a whole lot
Oh I also list $28 at Poker Time (from the free $10 signing up) I never deposited there played a couple of sngs and $.25/$50 NLHE until I busted out there. I hate prima I really do. Right now Im playing a few hands at William Hill $.5/$1 NLHE working off the January Bonus. untill next time

That is certainly tight - WTSD% 22.07 W$ @ SD 59.26% is maybe a little weak, but that is often the best way to play overaggressive low stake players, as your great PTBB/100 shows.

To be rated TA you aren't firing enough on each street to be rated as Ultra-Aggressive - you may just be letting the villains bet into you with worse hands (which is fine at this level), but you may also be missing out on value bets on the end for example..but nevertheless 15PTBB is fantacstic - just hope your run sticks until you have a nice BR built up..

well variance caught up with me a little bit I lost $60 over about 800 hands at Empire which will really lower you3 bb/100 with only 3000 hands now im at about an 8 didn't see a whole lot of good hands today played about 300 hands of PL $25 won like $4 through that but the way I am playing now I feel like I can weather the bad runs lets just see how long they continue. I have never been much at multi tabeling 2 at the most for this reload I have been 4 tabeling . I can think of about $20 that I lost just not being used to multitabeling. One hand I had QJ in the BB and AJ on the butto on another table guess what happend flopped AJ on the QJ table and thought it was the other table when he flipped over A9 I realized my mistake. ( the AJ table had given me the blinds with my PF raise.) oh well I was getting tired 800 hands today at Empire plus another 90 at William Hill $05/$1NL and about 45 mins at Titan .25/50 nl I need a rest. mabey take a day off I realy overdid it today with the day off at home alone ( wife at work and 3 yo son at preschool.)

Just in case you are wondering I only have 3000 hand in PT because at the beginning of dec I flushed 20,000 NL hands and 10,000 limit hands to start fresh.I was in a severe funk back then I think I need to rotate how I play to keep it fresh. play some stud one night here and there forget Omaha, and take mabey a week and play sng's and low buy in tourneys.

I think one reason I don't get to the showdown very often is I push and they fold alot. I will sometimes be 50 hands into a session up 15 BB without getting to a showdown. after a preflop raise If I think I am still ahed on the flop I fire out a pot sized bet and it rarely goes further than that.

Just finished the empire reload 2700 hands at NL and PL $25 finished up $16 before the bonus as i was card dead forever. I cashed out 204 left 12 to play a couple of SNGs later on ( cover play) can't say mutch for strategy just grinding them out lust $23 on one table my KK vs AA fot the $3 I had left back up to $32 being very agressive stealing pots and getting some action when I had big cards. Oh well at least that is finished. I think I will pass on the Empire get 15 or at least wait untill the end of it I need a break from that place. off to another site. I have been thinking of Full Tilt. we'll see.

After I finished at Empire I got on the waiting list for William Hill $.5/$1nl Full ring thats all I play while I was waiting I played some $.25/$.50 nl at ps I won about $20 in about 60 hands Then I got on my table at Crypto put in 100 was down to about 80 a good bluff or 2 got me back even the a short stack tried to steal a pot when an A hit I had JJ in the pocket and busted him. then later I had QQ 1 off the button early middle player raised $4 I caled flop Q 9 7 I think 2 Diamonds I had 1 Diamond I raised pot he re raised $40 I piushed all in he had KK and didn't improve so I doubled up. it ended up a good night. Bed time now

This is from my just completed bonus at Victor Chandler all I played were 6 max NL tables this is filtered as Tribecca and 6 or fewer players
