A totally unsolicited journal thus far and will be discontinued and abolished if either of the three other folks wish it to be. I thought it would be a nice way to stimulate us all to work hard this year to achieve our poker goals. A little competition always brings out the best in me in regard to effort and I suspect that may hold true for all of you as well. Either way to add some fun I thought I would post some odds for likely or unlikely events and give all BTP members 1000 imaginary dollars (no juice ) to see who can parlay that into the most money over the contest.

If The Strip Clubber decides to participate and doesn't want to post actual dollar amounts perhaps a simple I am trailing The Botanist and ahead of the The Lawyer and Sushi King would suffice until specific goals are reached. Perhaps we can update on a bi-monthly or monthly time if you all wish to participate.

I guess I will see how well my odds making abilities are from ascertaining the available information from the previous years records via this forum.

I will set my goal at 40K this year as I anticipate spending at least 3 months of time on non poker playing activities where I will be able to put in very little time. That said here are the opening odds via the Caracas Cartel Sports Book and diner.

sadly..i'm a patheic gambler and have no idea how to use the odds line??? could someone explain to me what being plus and minus a certain number means??

Glad you are with us kenny. I don't understand all the ins and outs of alot of odds either but for the above for example I put you at +2000 to log the most hours in a single month. That would mean if I put a 100.00 bet on you to do this and you ended up putting in more hours in a one month period than the other three I would win 2000.00. Conversely I have you as the favorite to win the most during a single day at -300, meaning I would have to put a 300.00 bet on you to win 100.00. Negatives are favorites and positives the dogs.

Knock them dead in that 510 game.
