I am writing this as much to get others schools of thought. I have only recently gone all NL and at the moment every session is a learning experiance. From the past though on min raisers I am curious about how much and when people raise. I am playing $25NL by the way.

I did go through a phase of messing about with my raises but I have decided of late to stick to 4xBB always as I figure it gives off no read. Whilst this means I may get a few fold arounds with premium hands I figure this offests by the bluffed pots I make with missed hands that get better credit.

I have also messed about with my raising hands a lot more than I would ever do on limit. Playing on UB I will raise LP with almost anything decent as I have about 60% chance of winning there and then or with a pot bet. On Party I will use this a lot less since they are crazy.

I am curious about people changing their raising amounts and why? Is it worth doing just to mix things up a little? I try to see a pot won as a pot won since I have had too many premium hands cracked to take things like rockets and cowboys for granted.

I raise to 4BBs most times, unless there is more than 1 limper. If theres more than 1 limper, I'll make the raise 5 or 6BBs.

If theres a raise in front of me, then I'll really crank it up most times at Party, because they will almost always call areraise if they have some hand they think is worth a raise.
