Apart from this site, there`s very few good NL essays I've come across. Does anyone know of any sites or links with good, well written essays on NL ring games?

Also, has anyone else been having problems with the 2+2 forums? I use Firefox, and always get a wierd looking page instead of the proper forums. I've tried using IE from my same computer, and get the same.. any suggestions?

E, that's one of the reasons I wanted to create this place, to centralize good information. There are a lot of good articles out there, but they are scattered out and not always easy to find. Hopefully, in time, we'll get more contributions here which will help you out. Check back later today. I'll put up a couple that's helped me.

Does it appear they aren't speaking English? Do you need a calculator more than a dictionary? To get any information out of it, do you need to be a CIA codebreaker? That's normal.

I have no problems with the appearance of the site through IE. You might ask their help desk about what's up with yours.

Slightly off-topic, but I managed to sort that 2+2 problem I had. For anyone else encountering the same problem, I had zonealarm configured to "block banner ads", which for some reason was preventing the 2+2 forum from loading properly. Its the first time I'd encountered that problem, but there you have it - sorted

On the subject of reading, I'm a bit of a bibliophile when it comes to poker, and the best books I've read for NL ring games have to be Ruebins "How good is your pot limit holdem". The analysis is very similar to hand analysis on this site, but it can be read on the train or at work. It's all individual hands, and principles are introduced this way, rather than the Super System layout of principle specific ideas and the likes.

A book I was a bit disappointed in was Cloutier and McEvoys "Championship Pot limit and No limit Holdem". Its very very tournamnent orientated, with very little cash game play. Dont get me wrong, I thoroughly enjoyed reading it, but just expected better from two great players.

Not much no limit in this book, but Ciaffonnes "Improve Your Poker" is excellent. All small essays, very very readable, and highly useful, it`s one of the better books I've bought Also, Dr Mahmoods "Science of Poker" is a bit dry, but very useful.

Those are the books I have that I'd recommend. Books I dont have, and consider a need, are Theory of Poker and Ciaffonne/Ruebins NL book. They`re next on the list.. comments?
