Hey, wanna hear something wierd? No, seriously, this is quite wierd. You're gonna hear this and be like, "Wow, the little shithead was right, that really was kind of wierd!" Okay, I'll tell you something wierd. But not yet. First, I need to set the scene.
Okay, so I have this little text file on my desktop that's set up to do a time-stamp any time I open it. So any time I start or end a session, I just click it open, and BANG I have a clock-in and clock-out time. I then take these two times and use my extraordinary mental math skills to determine the session's length, which I then input into a different file under the appropriate date. Don't worry, that wasn't the wierd thing. Well, okay, it's a bit wierd, or at least anal, but it is not in fact the "wierd thing" that I mentioned in the beginning of my post. THAT particular wierd this is...going to need just a little more backround info.
Right, so these days I start my week on Munday, end it on Sunday, but this particular week actually started on Wednesday. More like Wednesday and a half, really. Thudnesday, you could say, because it was practically Thursday but still technically Wednesday by the time I was ready to start. Reason being, I had my money in stars and multipoker at the beginning of the week, but quickly realized there wasn't enough low-limit game selection on either, so I had to transfer all my money to good ol' Party Poker.
Right...right. So anyway, when I finally got the money in, I decided I was only gonna play a few brief sessions this week to ease my way into it, just shooting for 1-2 hour "testing the waters" types of sessions. And get this, here it comes...At the end of the week, I had played 3 sessions, all of which were timed using the "wanked up little text file on my desktop" method, and...okay, here it is: all three sessions were exactly 1 hour and 34 minutes long! I kid you not. Ya know, after all that lead-up, I can't help but feel that the "wierd thing" itself was a bit of a let-down. Sorry bout that.
