A little background first. I've been playing online for about 3 years now. I'm an insurance adjuster in the Cleveland area. Hate my job, would love to go PRO poker, but that is a way off! Anyway, I would rate myself a slightly above average player but still alot to learn. I've been playing way over my bankroll though, and want to slow down and see if I can do this w/o risking much. Thats my New Year's resolution. In any event, I had to withdraw my poker funds to cover some expenses leaving me with 35.00 in my UB poker account. I also have 400.00 in the bonus account which certainly will speed things along. UB bonus is released a little at a time as you play. My plan is to constantly monitor for bonuses and make a deposit & withdraw everytime there is a reload. Hopefully I will be able to keep my bonus account with funds for a good while.
I've established some guidelines for myself, because I knowmy biggest leak is always trying to play too high limit. I recently played 30/60 on a 500 roll lol. OK, I will start at .05/.10 and only move up stakes when I get to 300 BB the next stake. The next stake on ub is .25/50 so I need to get to 150.00 before I can move up, so-on. Also, I will also drop down a level if I fall below 200 BB. Hopefully this won't happen too often.
Call me an eternal optimist, but I believe I can turn that 35.00 into 10,000.00 in a year, this is my goal! Only Time will tell.
