Just watching a few hands tonight. I started watching the $50 game out of curiosity. The players seemed no better than at $20. I was surprised a bit. Decided to watch a bigger game, see if things improved.
This is the 2nd hand I saw.
The game is $2/$4 NL at Gaming Club ($400 buy-in). Four see the flop.
MP is short-stacked with $90, LP has $400 or so. Two others fold on the flop so they don't matter.
Flop is
[8s][6d].
Check; MP bets, fold, LP raises, fold, MP (short stack) re-raises all-in, LP calls all-in.
I'm figuring a set against a flopped straight. Something like that, anyway.
Turn over their cards. LP has 98 for top two pair. MP raised all-in with KTo: the gutshot and nothing else. MP hits his 7 on the flop and takes it down.
So ... I gotta get my bankroll up some more. Some day, some day....
