Hi Godlike,

That last session sucked with your beats! but it makes me feel better that my 5 tabling rate is now equal to your 10 tabling rate!

I am amazed that people are calling you with A VPIP or 14% so much. What does that translate to as far as PFR percentage 3.5 to 4.5? Your $/hr is very impressive for these stakes. Do you play with dual monitors, 5 tables per monitor?

Damn, another bad-ish session which started off really well. Maybe I should end my sessions sooner as I always seem to decline at the end. Anyway, will post stats at the end of the day from now on rather than every post.

I think that at this level, people just don't pay attention to how loose or tight i am, hardly anybody notices anyway. My PFR % is 3.55 and i've got 3 monitors set up actually, I have 4 - 4 - 2 and a little extra room to browse the forums or talk on msn or whatever.

UGH. The last 2 sessions have left me completely card dead. I hit 1 set over the two of them and lost it to quads lol. Anyway the first session wasn't terrible and about broke-even in that but the2nd lost me clost to $100 I think. I still think I can achieve the winrate I set out in my goal and i'm just having a bad slump atm.

Be glad your opponents refuse to fold; if they didn't, you just might go broke.

LOL. Sorry, I had JJ. I once played in a live game though where there were 5 aces in the deck, someone had the ace high flush & pair aces at the same time.

Put in a quick session this morning and i actually won  A couple of good hands:

I'm in the BB with [8c] [6c] and it's raied to $2 in EP, about 4 callers so I tag along. Flop comes 459 with 2 clubs, It's checked to the raiser who bets $6, one LP caller, i pump it up to $20 and take down the pot.

Another interesting one, I have AKs OTB and raise it to $2, 2 callers and the flop comes TJQr, check-check and I bet $3, first guy minraises and the next guy folds. I decide to flat call. Turn is the oh-so beautiful 6 of hearts (my AK were hearts) and he bets $5, i make it $13 and he calls. River bricks and he checks, i've put him on some kind of 2 pair so I value bet $16 into a $40 pot or so and he calls, he turns over 89 for the other end of the flopped straight :| I'm surprised he played it so passively.

Anyway, my session this morning made up for the losses for last night and I think i even made a slight profit, my ptbb/100 is pretty much the same though.

Now THATS what i'm talking about. I put in 2 fairly short sessions today and ended up a bit on both of them. Hand of the day:

i'm in EP with 22 and it's raised before me, i call and so does half the table, 6 to the flop I think. Flop comes 234, excellent i'm thinking. I'm first to act so I bet out $10 (pot was about $16 at the time) and the preflop raises min-raises me. You have to think he has a high pocket pair here right? Anyway, folded to me and I push, folded to him and he calls. Turn is an Ace. F**K. I'm behind to aces here aswell as the obscure possibility of 55. Turn is the oh-so-holy case 2 and the chips slide my way. Turns out he had 33 and I hit my 1-outer  Another good hand was when I was all in preflop against QQ and 77 and almost tripled up (one was short). Anyway, i'm just about at the 10k hand mark and i must say i'm please but not thrilled with my winrate. I think there's still room for improvemnt and patching leaks in my game and i've got plenty of hands yet before my true winrate starts to show.

Had a GREAT session, and then an even sh*tter one. Seriously the variance is insane doing this. Some hands from the last session:

I have K9, flop comes TJQ, someone bets $3, I make it $10, 1 flat caller and the raiser calls. Turn is another J. $30 bet to me, i cant call.

I have AA and limp in EP, someone minraises and there's a couple callers, i make it $4 and the minraiser calls, everyone else folds. Flop comes T56, i bet 3/4 the pot, he calls. Turn is a 9, i bet out again, he calls. River is a 7, I bet $10, he goes all in ($15 more or something) I call, he has K8!!!! Runner-runner-gutshot straight.

I pushed KK all in preflop and lost to AA.

It was just a terrible session. Painful. Will post stats tomorrow.

I have a home game at a friends' place tomorrow and i'm thinking i'll just pull an all nighter since it's early in the morning anyway. I'm gonna go back and try playing some more SNGs to build the roll because ring games are killing me atm.

10-tabling variance is going to shorten my lifespan by 10 years if this keeps up, my heart won't be able to take it much longer. Good thing is i'm currently riding an upswing and my winrate has risen (for NL50, at least). One major hand of the day:

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (8 handed)

Button ($78.28)
SB ($41.54)
BB ($28.19)
UTG ($49.87)
Hero ($53.70)
MP1 ($50.99)
MP2 ($51.75)
CO ($41.29)

Preflop: Hero is UTG+1 with [Kd], [Kh]. SB posts a blind of $0.25.
UTG calls $0.50, Hero raises to $2, MP1 calls $2, 3 folds, SB (poster) calls $1.75, BB calls $1.50, UTG calls $1.50.

Flop: ($10) [3h], [Tc], [Ks] (5 players)
SB checks, BB checks, UTG checks, Hero bets $2, MP1 folds, SB calls $2, BB folds, UTG raises to $6, Hero calls $4, SB calls $4.

Turn: ($28) [6d] (3 players)
SB checks, UTG bets $10, Hero calls $10, SB calls $10.

River: ($58) [9s] (3 players)
SB calls $23.54 (All-In), UTG calls $23.54, Hero calls $35.70 (All-In), UTG calls $8.33 (All-In).

Final Pot: $149.11

Results in white below:
SB has Qs Ah (high card, ace).
UTG has 3d 3s (three of a kind, threes).
Hero has Kd Kh (three of a kind, kings).
Outcome: Hero wins $149.11.

In hindsight I probably should have bet more on the flop, but that's such a scattered flop that nothing really scared me at that point. SB was a huge bluffer apparently and i had UTG on some form of 2pair or set, so i just called on the turn hoping to drag the SB in. I really should have raised though because he could've easily had JQ there and be getting excellent odds to draw out on me, which as it turns out when the 9 hit and he pushed all in instantly it was like death to me. Does anyone lay that down on the river? it turns out he was bluffing afterall but he had me scared for a bit. Anyway, I think that's my biggest pot thus far. Stats time.
