Below is the important part of an email I received from the affiliate I was signed up through to get rakeback from Empire. LOL, I for one am happy as hell this happened and I'll tell you why. I am signed up to about 8 different sites through this affiliate to get rakeback. BUT because I don't usually play at Empire longer than it takes to clear the monthly $100 (sometimes $75) bonus they usually put out I never get any rakeback for Empire. Now thats just fine and dandy with me and I have no problem with it. The part that has always pissed me off, is that they never pay me my rakeback from the other sites that I play at because they say that my Empire rakeback is in the negative more than the rakeback I have earned from the other sites and therefore it would have to come out of their pocket to pay me the rakeback from those other sites. I asked them how I should go about fixing this dilemma and they told me I could close down my Empire account so that I didn't have it through them and then it wouldn't affect my other rakeback plans. Well, guess what?! Party took care of that little problem for me!!! LOLOLOLOL!!!!!! The excerpt below from my email will explain why. Goodbuy Empire problems, hello rakeback that I should have been getting all along!
Dear Players
Firstly you do NOT need to reply to this email.
We are sending it to all players not just existing Empire players, so that you all know what is going on in the Market.
On Tuesday Party Gaming bought Empire Poker and all its players.
Empire has agreed to pay affiliates for player's rake up until midnight on 14th February.
>From then onwards there will be no more rakeback for Empire players as it seems Party is under no obligation to pay affiliates for anything! So we will get no further commission on your play.
Clearly it makes no sense to continue playing there without rakeback!
One alternative solution is to consider joining up with our Party Snowball Scheme which offers massive freerolls each month.
