Hello folks
I've decided following a period of inactivity (played only a few times this year) to empty my poker accounts and quit for the time being. I haven't really been very motivated in 2006 and although I do enjoy thinking about poker now and again and playing, the fact is i'm spending more time and energy at work and so i'm not really finding the time or inclination to play in the evenings. I've been toying with the idea of clearing the accounts so I have enough money to change my car in 2 or 3 months, though I thought this month I'd have a crack at winning the amount I wanted, but I've not been very motivated to play again and when I have I haven't won (the opposite in fact).
Was toying with the idea again today after having a bit of a crap day (a bit of a cold and some late nights has meant i've been a bit knackered lately and ended up taking the day off work), though I played a session tonight I didn't really enjoy it, probably principally because I lost (though that's kind of incidental in my decision, I guess had I won 1k or something I might've reconsidered). I had also toyed with the idea of just playing low limit stuff to clear bonuses and have a bit of fun now and again but the idea of that doesn't do a lot for me to be honest, either all or nothing.
Anyhow, tonight I kind of felt fate was trying to tell me something - sat down first hand and flopped the nut boat, lost, then on another table got all in with the best of it against a mong, lost. Coupla hundred bucks in two hands and although I made some nice freeroll rivers again I felt like, although I was playing fine for the most part, a bit ambivalent really. As the session went on I pretty much decided I couldn't be arsed with it anymore and was just staying to make sure I finished a couple of crypto bonuses, and pretty much last hand of the night this happened:

I seem to see those rather a lot.
Anyways, like I said it seemed a bit like someone was trying to tell me something. So, although I've been basically inactive for most of 2006 anyways, I'm turning that into a more permanent arrangement. I don't especially need the money at present and I think I'm at an age where maybe I can find more productive things to do with my time. After all, I doubt anyone has looked back on their death bed and said "damn, I really wish I'd played more internet poker when I was in my 20s....".
I'll still be sticking around here of course. On a related note, wtf have party done with their new software update? Why are people so stupid??? Anyways, I've rambled on long enough.
