On the first hand, I like a small bet from last position. This type of bet is often viewed as a information bet or a steal, having positional advantage. You could get a call from as little as two overcards, while two hearts will definately call you, so will any straight draw such as T8 or JT, and you might bust someone who was looking to check-raise their 9. If you get no callers with a small bet then it is unlikely that you will make a lot later, whereas if you build the pot by putting in a small bet, it opens up a lot of possibilities for the turn and the river.

hand 1: there's not a whole lot of hands you're going to get called by. I think you should have instead tried to build a pot on the flop with a small bet. there's a good number of people seeing it, and with the flush draw out there i'd be fine firing out something like $.1and hoping to get called. assuming i did, i'd fire out another 2/3 pot bet on the turn, and then do the same ont he river.

for hands like that, i'm always weary of having hte possible lower end of the boat. If anyone has a 9 and makes it into a full house, you stand to lose a lot of money. i make it a personal point to not allow that to happen cheaply, as in a 6 way pot, there's a strong chance someone has that 9.

hand 2: nice. I'm not sure how much i like raising raising 3 limpers in the BB with 99, but it's definatly not a bad play, just not one i prefer to do myself. After that, you played it perfectly, and you're opponent is a bonified mook.


Also, try taking your posts out of hand history mode and put them into a describing mode. it makes it much much easier to read.

I agree with everything that Stelvask said.
Hand 1 if Im last to act I make a small bet, If Im in the middle somewhere I check.
Hand 2..I wouldnt raise from the blind there but its ok at times.
