I predict 700 by end of year. Mad Genius said 1000, but that might be a bit ambitious. We'll see. So far so good. Im glad everyone is happy with the site so far.

Actually my prediction is too low if we assume a linear growth. In a little bit over 3 months this site has 300+ members, so that works out to be about 100/month. In the next 10.5 months we should get 1000 more members. Even if the rate of increase falls off a bit, I can easily see 700 more joining.

Yeah, but about 70 came in the 1st couple days from UPF, so I was trying to calculate the growth without them.

It really is cool that we are growing as fast as we are. Though some part of me likes the fact that we are small. There really is more of a sense of community as cheesy as that sounds and I think part of it is that we are small. We all know each other a little bit better because there aren't 5000 people posting. One of the things that I disliked about UPF was that it was so big, it was harder to know who the posters you that you were responding too. Either way growth is good too, it is good for all of us to add knowledgeable people to our group.

Growth is good but part of me wishes that it gets capped and so that people aren't overwhelmed with posts and everyone still knows each other and such. Like our own private club that only lets in serious players who want to learn and help.

It will be fun to watch and see how this forum grows. My guess is that it will cap out at maybe 100 regular posters with the majority lurking and benefiting from the discussions. There is the potential though that it will split off into subgroups with core groups in the various topics - SnG specialists, NL, ATE, Limit players, etc. If that happens it could get really big. Let's come back to this at Christmas and see what is happening.
