There is a big tournament this Saturday at a poker club about an hour away from my house. It's $200 buy-in with $100 rebuys and addon. I didn't give much thought to this but then I saw the blind structure. And it's the best that I've ever seen for a non-major tournament. You get started with T2000 and blinds start at 5-10 and are 45 minutes each round. The tournament is supposed to go as long as 12 hours. And they are expecting as many as 50 people. If my math works out that could be up to $20k if an average player does one rebuy and addon.

In all honesty I want to play in this event as there seems to be some serious money to be made. I don't know the quality of the players but let's face it, a rebuy tournament automatically encourages fishy play. And with the blind structure being so kickass skill will play a much larger role. I can't decide whether I will play or not so...I'll leave it up to you guys to decide. Convince me one way or another - and I'll go with it.

This tourament sounds like a good one, good money and a good blind structure. This may actually resemble a test of skill as opposed to a lot of touraments where it is all about who wins more coin flips.

There is a different tournament running tonight, $100 buyin, I may end up playing that instead since I was planning on playing the other tourney. I'll try to give a report of the tourney if I end up playing.
