You got way too involved on 5th street, which cost you a bundle.

On fifth, I probably would have put him on a set -- (33)A43. Possibly a straight (25)A43, though less likely. It's even possible that he was slowplaying a pair of aces and caught a second pair on fifth (A3)A43.

I never would have guessed (34)A43, as I wouldn't expect someone to raise me with two small pair.

Man, his screenname is certainly appropriate if this is normally the way he plays.

In any case, I would have thought I was behind on fifth. I would have called his first raise to see sixth street. I may or may not have folded, though, on sixth street. I figure I have a few outs on sixth to improve my hand, but with the possibility of drawing mostly dead.

But the bottom line is that you never should have gotten into that testosterone contest with him on fifth. Even a pair of aces isn't strong enough for that. I'd need at least trips to cap fifth street.
