Guh, the shorties are most irritatting...but they're BAD shorties playing like they're in a tourny...so they push any ace, any pair, most kings...so it's not THAT bad.

Dont even think about betting the turn with a missed AK or something like that.

Or the flop most of the time It's nice when you flop quads and they call down with an underpair though! (JJ7 with JJ, 8 turn...brick river and he called the whole way after I check-called the flop - he pfr'd - and lead the turn/river for 1/2 pot). Nice. Guh, one guy called his whole stack down with A4 vs my AQ with AK flop...river paired the board so we had the same hand...nihan donk.

Tribeca 25c/50c NL.

Hero is OTB with AK. 3 limpers, Hero raises to 5x or 6x the BB. Gets three callers including Villain in the SB.

Flop is A85 with two spades. Hero does not have a spade. Checks to hero. Hero bets most of pot. Hero gets two callers.

Turn is an offsuit 2. Checks to hero again. Hero bets most of pot again. Only Villain calls. Villain now has $1.00 left.

River is the 6 of spades. Villain bets his last $1.00. Hero knows he is beat. Hero calls, expecting to be two spades. Nope. Villain shows A6o and takes down the $60ish pot.

Rofl...so typical! I've stopped reading hands on that site...they confuse me constantly. Seems to be the prototypical 'play your cards' place. It's like the old days of 2/4 limit at the casino Gotta show down the best hand to win.

Isn't it great when you can get to a point where tremendously bad beats can be funny? I find myself laughing ALL the time at Tribeca for some reason...has anyone else found this? You lose some tough hands, but laugh...and hopefully your wins make up for it (they have for me so far...+$180 in 700 hands for 12.86ptbb/100...yowza).

Just nut peddle Play TPTK harder than normal...and remove CBs from the arsenal unless you have a read. Basically, your marginal hands go UP in value, and your bigger hands go down.
