Playing tight early

I like to see cheap flops when very deep stacked especially as a lot of SnG players have appalling deep stack skills (fair enough - why would they develop them unless they played cash games or MTT's).

I play loose pre-flop for the first couple of orbits looking for a big score and double up vs a donk (if you aren't in a pot with the donk when he busts early someone else will get his chips!).

What I don't do is commit any more chips to the pot with junk unless I hit big..

It depends what you mean by "decent". At the 55s, I generally find a maximum of 2 players who know what they're doing, the other 6-7 are most certainly losing players.
