PLO $25 - Please stop giving me top set

Am I donking off my stacks here? Should I be letting these go or playing them differently somehow? Had top set 3 times and got stacked every time, I left one out because I don't think I could play it differently (got most of the money in with the nuts on the flop and got 5.5:1 on the turn).

sets are often just drawing hand on coordinated boards like these. be careful not to overplay them. try to manage the pot size (i.e. keep it small) when possible.

Yeah you're obviously drawing in both cases but I think you have odds - a set turns into a boat by the river around 35% of the time when no-one else has paired any cards on the board - in a 2 or 3 handed pot the chances are someone else might have something pairing the board so I'd normally assume you have maybe on average a 30% shot or so (rough rue of thumb) of hitting a winning boat or quads by the end.

On hand 1, calling saltamore seems fine (dead money may come in behind you with flush draws etc), when the other guy pushes you have to call $15 into a ~$50 pot so yeah I think calling is about neutral EV (perhaps a tiny bit -EV against better players as another set becomes more likely). I guess with the $25PLO donk factor it's just possible that the other guy has something like a set of tens so it makes it slightly more +EV.

Hand 2 you're betting into a LOT of oppos, a straight is more than likely so I might check here and see what develops (but certainly lead into 2 or 3 oppos). When there's a raise and a call it's not costing you much to see a turn, I think calling here is alright (though better if a flush draw is out - bare in mind if saltamore is a decent player he probably has a set too, though at PLO25 I appreciate that's probably not the case). On the turn obviously putting $10 into a $50 final pot when you hit 25% of the time is a very simple call.
