i'll give you my 2 cents worth, but please keep in mind that this is from someone with very little limit experience (in o8, that is), so it may not even be worth that.
- it's right to chase more in LO8... that is, you're getting the correct odds to do so.
- conversely, you often have to fold seemingly good draws because you're not getting the right odds to chase. this is esp. true in HU pots... doubly so if two or more to a low are out.
- you should usually chase nut hands in lo8, but this isn't necessarily the case if the opposition is stupid and/or weak.
- i recommend starting at LO8 just so you can see how hands develop.
- i actually recommend that you start with turbo o/8 and just play a lot of hands to get the experience. after you get a feel for how hands and boards develop, i'd go to real money games. limit or pl is your choice.
- people make bigger mistakes in plo8, so it tends to be more profitable.
- i hope you like playing on party and/or stars, as that's where most of the games are.
- be careful about low limit lo8 and plo8 tables during bonus periods. a lot of whores like to play these games during bonus periods, and otherwise loose tables become rock gardens.
