Wow. I just realized how easily I can collect a lot more data with the help of this little program called pokertracker. I am wildly unintelligent sometimes.

It's my belief that ANY HU poker is extremely luck-based. You're playing SO MANY HANDS, and you're bluffing so often, that I can't believe it's anything but luck, even at higher limits.

Take this for example--my wife was playing in a local bar tournament, and she got to heads-up (I finished 20th). I was watching and cheering her on, and she had about a 3:2 chip lead. I find out later that she gets dealt AKs in the BB. She raises, opponent moved all in and she called. He turns over (and I kid you not--I think he was tired...) J8s. The flop comes with 2 jacks, and the river fills him up. How is that skill in any way? To the guy's credit, after he doubled through and had a huge lead, he offered an even chop, which she accepted.

The point is that there is little or no skill involved (at least IMHO)...

Less players means more skill involved. That "playing so many hands" would indicate that HU is a game of luck is silly, playing many hands and many close situations correctly is what distinguishes the good from the bad.

In regards to your question, one important factor is where the small blind is. If it's on the button, then you just can't fold many hands. Against many (timid) players I believe you are correct to never fold.
