Being that he called your preflop raise and also your flop bet I would have been inclined to check it to him on the turn and go for a CR as I would put him on some sort of A, perhaps even AK and even if he doesn't have anything he is unlikely to call your turn bet so you are giving him a chance to get out of line either here or catch something on the river that he can pay you off with. Of course I never would have expected him having AA either but still I think there is some merit to this play in the long run when you pretty much have the deck crippled barring some unusual circumstances like this.
