Well my take on this is get yourself out of the low limit games as soon as possible in live play if the rake is anything like I saw in New Orleans. They took 1 every 10 until 50 and also another 1 at 20 for a jackpot. Six dollars out of every pot is something that is going to be extremely if not impossible to beat especially when you are expected to tip the dealer for the hand and also the cocktail waitress with the nice ass when she brings you a drink, and if you drink like I do at the tables that can cut a healthy dent in your overall take
The advice I gave here in regard to low limit games was more for the relatively tighter internet games and well as for the loss of physical information. When I am in a game like this I take a shot of tequila, order a couple of St. Pauli girls and monkey it up with the best of them preflop because I am extremely good post flop in maximizing value from my hands. I don't know an exact number but I wouldn't be surprised if I saw 40-50% of the flops in some of these games. If you sit around and wait for the monster hands all night and then get them shoved up your ass by 95 sooooooooted you will go crazy. You have to see some flops and outplay them as best as possible by maximizing the hands you do hit on. Don't go crazy and start calling raises with speculative hands unless in late position and the whole table is calling but don't be afraid to limp in with alot of "speculative hands" from any position if the table is crazy loose passive.
