Pot Odds Question

So it's a n00bish question.. sue me.

When you face a bet to call, do you also include the costs of calling bets in later rounds along with implied odds, or are the parameters limited to current street only (flop, turn, river)?

Pot odds are on that street. Implied odds are the rest of the hand. Both MUST be considered in decision making.

Like if you're getting 9:1 on a gutshot draw in a multiway pot, your pot odds alone do not justify calling here since you're 10:1 to hit your draw. But when you factor in the bets you will gain in future rounds when you hit it, you're justified in making the call. That is, when you factor in implied odds.
