I hate calling down in situations like this, but I can't help it sometimes.
I posted in the CO, 8 handed 8/16 at full tilt.
Dealt:
MP1 Raises, MP2 calls, I call, everyone else folds.
Flop
They both check, hmm interesting. Somehow it feels like a trap, but I can't resist.
2 Checks, I bet, MP1 calls, MP2 folds.
Turn
Mp1 bet outs
... What to do? As I said earlier in the post, I had posted in and this was my first hand at the table, I had no stats on the villain.
Is he semi bluffing a high heart? Does he have a high pair?
If he does have a high pair, he might not have a heart. In which case I pickup several flush outs, but I can't really realistically fold if the river comes a blank, either.
Or maybe he has nothing but J-A high without a heart, just donking it up on the turn...
I realize you can't put him on a hand without a read, but do you think it's correct to call down here, given likely %'s of what range of hands he may hold?
