A calling station is just as likely to have [3h] as [2d], so I like a value bet very much here.

That's precisely why I value bet this river... but I wasn't sure it was +EV.

+EV this, +EV that... it's a solid value bet, for crying out loud! I'm just kidding, though. Let me put it this way: the only way to play a calling station is to... yes, value bet. You value bet and then you value bet some more. And you never ever bluff. Ever. Since his actions doesn't give away anything else than that he likes to hit the call button, you're just going to have to keep pounding the sucker until he lets you know you're beaten - but even that is unlikely. Even if he catches his flush on the river, he might not raise you. If he's got something like the ten of spades, he'll probably just call. As he always has. As he always will. You know, last night I saw a calling station call down in position with 77 on a J-7-9-9-K board. Call down. He didn't raise once - not even on the river. I wasn't in the hand, but it was hilarious to watch. So don't you stop value betting, buddy!
