A calling station is a loose-passive opponent. He never bets or raises unless he has something like the second nuts, but will call down with any two cards from any position. Cold-calling a three-bet from MP with J5s? You bet! Literally.

I, personally, hate playing at a table full of loose-passive opponents. It's impossible to put them on hands, and after three or four suckouts, I go on tilt and lose a ton of money. It's inevitable. I suck at adjusting to their game, and they make me play bad, so I try to avoid them.

So then do I need to become somewhat of a calling station myself in those situations so that I don't get killed by my own aggression when one of those fuckers that never raises calls the raiser all the way to the river with a monster?

No. You never want to become a calling station. More often than not calling stations are calling you down with complete crap. Take advantage of that and value bet them all the way. Don't miss those bets!
