i have an account on Party with a small balance. i play there once in a while. i tried to log on a few days ago and was told my account was closed. i sent an email to info@partypoker.com, and was told the following:
my account has been temporarily locked. in order to lift the hold on my account, i have to become a "preferred member." being a "preferred memeber" supposedly entitles me to faster cashouts, or something. in exchange, i get to send them a faxed or scanned copy of my driver's license and checking account information.
there was no advance notice before closing my account nor any notice at the time the account was closed.
i have several thousand dollars on Prima and they've never pulled any crap like this.

limits, faster cashouts, and you would be a part of special promotions."
what the hell? on the one hand maybe i should be grateful that they care so much about my financial security.
on the other hand...things like this make me think they screwed up and now my neteller info is in the hands of the hacker community. i dont want to be in their elite group. i dont want special promotions. i just want my account to work. like i said....several thousand $$$ on Prima and never a single problem.

I have a very strong feeling that Party Poker is on its way to oblivion. They seem to keep doing things TO their customers, rather than FOR their customers. I don't know what's going on over there, but when's the last time anyone heard anything good about PP?
