Goin to Vegas 11/12-11/14, Looking for a recent run down

Hey Gang,

I am going to Vegas for an annual trip with a couple old co workers. We usually meet up once a year arriving on a Sunday and staying until Tuesday to take advantage of the lower room rates. None of them are big poker players and they usually play low limit Black Jack and slots and generally drink a lot and do the "walk around and look at everything".

In the last couple months I have been honing my limit hold em game (I am winning on line at the 2/4 level at 3.7 BB /100) probably a good run of cards over the last 5K hands but still makes me feel good about my game.

I have played live both limit and NL in the past usually the 3/6 or 4/8 tables for limit and the 1/2 or 2/5 NL tables.

I am thinking of going to Vegas Saturday, the day before my friends get there and play a lot of poker and want to play up a level or 2. I am looking for recommendations.

I am considering going Saturday afternoon and playing all night until I can check in to my room Sunday.

Where / what limit should I play? I will probably take 1K to play with and I am considering 6/12 or 10/20. I have a very good on line bank roll for the limits I play and will withdraw money from there to play. I would be very unhappy to lose it all the first day but it would not be a disaster and if the 6/12 or 10/20 live game played similar to a 3/6 party table I am not too worried.

Thoughts and Suggestions?

Also if any BTP'er is going to be in Vegas that weekend it would be great to meet up and play some poker together.

I wish I was going to be there that weekend. Where are you staying??? I dont play limit but for NL I can offer some suggestions. Good 2/5 games MGM and Mirage. For smaller limits I love the 2/4 at Madalay, 1/2 a Ballys, 1/3 at the Wynn. Also the 1/2 at the Sahara is a good game since you can buy in for $500 at a 1/2 game, that game can get fun.

Staying at Excalibur. I am planning to play up a limit or two at fixed limit but if I get bored I will play some NL so thanks for the tips.
