Thoughts on PokerRoom

Hey all

I'm thinking of depositing part of my BR into PokerRoom to get their bonuses (30% up to $200, $300, $400). I'll be playing the 3/6 limit games primarly and will be using Netteller to deposit/withdraw. I've heard from a few sources that the software is crap and the rake structure terrible with the server being down a lot, but then i've heard from other sources that the games are softer than anywhere and that it's worth playing there and the most money they've made is from PokerRoom.. So i'd really like input and feedback from anyone here who has had any experience with any aspect of this site.

I cleared a 40% bonus there for $160 in about 4 weeks 2 tabling $25 NL. Decent software. If u play MTT's then it is easy pickens over there. Good luck.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I'm waiting on a rakeback deal atm so when I work that out i'll probably try and clear the bonuses at Poker Room. I've been hitting the prima sites + absolute poker atm and if anyone has read the limit forum they'll see how well*coughBULLSHITcough* that's going

I did the reload at Pokerroom yesterday because they also have some point redemption things going on and I had built up quite a few points so I figured I might as well have a go at clearing some of them. You need 2000 points to clear the 200 reload bonus. the way they have it set up now it clears fairly fast at 3-6 and beyond. I played one 36 table and one 5-10 for 2 hours and made 360 some odd points. The bad thing is the rake. I noticed one pot that was around 35.00 at the 36 table and they had already taken 3.00 rake. I was in BB one time and checked it down with SB and they took 0.40 rake. I suppose for a rock like me who is not involved in alot of pots it doesn't make that much difference and it also contributes to clearing these bonuses pretty damn fast as you get 0.7 pt per 1.00 rake or partial thereof so a 3.00 raked pot gets you 2.1 points. The two games I was in were also very good. The only bad thing to happen besides getting my aces cracked by 93o was one removal from a table for a blip on the internet which is really annoying. It doesn't take much for it to kick you off of a table, that said if you are running something other than dialup you will probably not have much of a problem in this regard. They have done some improvements in the overall scheme of their software that makes it more agreeable to me as well. Perhaps I will start to spend a little more time there.
