Anyone play at Noble Poker? Thoughts about the site?

Postby SebQtaneus » Tue Oct 25, 2005 11:11 pm

I just signed up at Noble Poker because the folks I have most of my rakeback setups with offered me 30%. Sorry, but I didn't see a Noble banner here on BTP if there is one. Anyway, was wondering if anyone here plays there and can tell me what I am in for as far as game toughness and bonus clearing at .50/1.00 & 1/2 Limit. I see they have micro limit S&G's as well so I will be trying that out also. Software seems to work well enough. At least you can turn off those stupid avatars. All I have done so far is watch for a bit as I haven't made my first deposit yet so the software may not be as fast as it looks to me, but so far it looks good.

I opened an account there a month and a half or so ago. I have played there a little bit. The software is fine and fast. The games at the 12 level were also pretty soft. The bonus clears half as fast at the 12 level because you only get 2 crowns per raked pot compared to 4 at the 24 level. I think at 12 it amounts to about 25 raked/per 1.00 so it is one of the shittiest bonus clearances at that level. Usually 1 to 3 1-2 limit tables going on after 9am or so. All in all a good site it seems although they need to pick up some traffic for the higher limit games.

http://www.noblepoker.com/matchbonus_june05.html

I got this off their website this afternoon. If it's correct, it looks like they may have changed things since the last time you looked.
In case my link didn't work, basically it says 1 crown for .25/.50, 2 crowns for .50/1.00, and 4 crowns for 1/2.
Either way, I'm gonna try it out in the next week or so, so I'll find out then for sure. If it's correct then does that make it a 12x bonus? That's only slightly worse than Empires monthly 10x which I never have any problem clearing. Hopefully it won't be the rock garden that Empire has become though. I sure wish PT and PA HUD supported it.

If you look at that site it says BLIND STRUCTURE. For a 1.00 small blind and a 2.00 big blind and higher you get 4 crowns which is 2-4 limit. For a 0.5 small blind and 1 big blind it is 2 crowns. You might want to email them and clarify it but as it reads what I said previously is correct.

IC, yeah, you're probably right. That makes sense. If it had been the way I said, more people would probably be playing there.

This may have changed since I last played there, but there's no way of keeping track of how many crowns you have apart from emailing support. So its a pain in the ass if you're there for the bonus. I ended up not playing there much because they didnt have much traffic back then... but I've heard a few complaints from people about the lack of transparency in the accounting for crowns i.e. they felt they werent getting credit for all the hands they played.
