Postby SebQtaneus » Mon Nov 07, 2005 4:36 pm

I don't care if I may have played the flop and turn wrong and I'm not positive that I did, but there's no way in hell I played the river wrong! LMFAO!!!!!!!!! :D :D :D :D

If he had Jacks full then I wouldn't call him an idiot, I think he overplayed a flush.

Now, do you play this any differently if the [4s] had been an [8s], [9s], or [Ts] putting a possible straight flush or quad 10's on the board?

The ten would worry me, the spades wouldn't as given the pre flop, flop, and turn action the straight flush is fairly unlikely.

I'm not weak tight or anything guys, but after you 7 bet someone, and they come back for an 8 bet, you gotta start thinking your jacks full might not be good.

So this wasn't a software glitch that allowed that many bets on the river? I'd never seen that before.

But once it started, I was hoping it would keep going until I had all my money in.

To be honest, I don't play this any differently with ANY spade coming up. Only another T or J would have given me pause for concern.

It was on Poker Plex (a crypto site). And I have never seen this before either. I thought that maybe it was like on Stars when you're playing 7 Stud and the board pairs and that little popup comes on saying you can now bet double or something like that. But this went way beyond being able to bet double what a capped bet would be. Actually when he made a call finally, we were both betting $16 on the river which is 4x a normal capped bet I think. But I had never seen it before so I thought maybe it had been a software glitch or something.
