First of all, trust me the 1k/2k games don't play so differently from the lower/middle limits... so don't worry that you guys aren't "qualified" or whatever to offer comments, etc.
Here's the rest of the hand:
** Dealing Turn ** [ Kh ]
** Dealing River ** [ 9d ]
HakAllah shows [ 2c, 3s, 4s, 8c ] a pair of eights.
LeonClub shows [ Ad, Qd, Ah, Td ] a straight, ten to ace.
yathatsrite doesn't show [ Ac, 8h, 6h, 3h ] two pairs, aces and eights.
LeonClub wins $2149.34 from side pot #1 with a straight, ten to ace.
LeonClub wins $673.75 from the main pot with a straight, ten to ace.
There was no qualifying low hand.
I like the way I played it--if the deep stack has top set (which I suspected), then if he continues he's probably making a big mistake, unless he has a flush draw to go with the set. Check the heads up equity:
Omaha Hi/Low 8-or-better: 820 enumerated boards containing As 8s Jh
cards scoop HIwin HIlos HItie LOwin LOlos LOtie EV
4s 3s 8c 2c 248 248 572 0 630 0 0 0.558
Ad Qd Td Ah 153 572 248 0 0 0 0 0.442
If I simply call, then I might draw action from hands that are behind that would fold to my raise, but since the low + flush draw relies on seeing both the turn and river to gain the equity you see in a 2dimes sim, I want to fully commit myself here.
The AAxx hand made a somewhat questionable play here, although given the amount that's already in the pot, he probably had roughly neutral equity to continue.
