I say DO NOT take money out unless it is for living expenses, but not just to shit away. For instance, I have other money for rent/bills, but I will usually take out $200 halfway through each month for FOOD and GAS, only the necessities. Otherwise, keep it in your bankroll.

I just set a target roll ($8000 for me so I could comfortably play $200 NL) and once I got to it I am able to cash out most of the excess.
Works for me - my roll slowly grows (as I rarely cash out all my winnings for a week) - it's about 10.5k now, but the baseline (below which I won't cash out, is $9.2k I think (my excel speadsheet works it out for me).
By the time I get anywhere near good enough for the $400 tables, my roll will be 15k+. In the meantime may as well live a little..
