Back when Pacific gave away $10 to anyone who played a freeroll, I played a $2.50 SNG, lost it, played a $5 10 player SNG and won it. From that I played a lot of 5 player $2.50 SNGs, got it up to about $160.
I then started to play 100NL on another site and somewhat lapsed into going pro (my contract ended at work and at that point I was making more in a week at poker than a month at work) But anyway, I totally forgot about the Pacific account. Then remembered it, played $10NL for a week, made $800 (Pacific was a lot juicier then) and then played some limit poker and then some NL.
Basicially from a $10 gift I've managed to earn at a guess $5000, my point being that good money can be made from as little as $10, nobody deserves to win just because they think they're good. Poker's all about playing opponents who are weaker than ourselves, and in time money will be won.
Ya know, my main bankroll is my working capital but I always keep about $300 in Pacific and always will. In a way I'm more proud of the money I've made from nothing there than my main BR that I live off which I built up from depositing a few times, losing it and depositing again.
