I play fewer hours than any of you. I started a break about ten days ago. For you full timers, I'd suggest treating it as a job, forty hours a week tops. Play only your most profitable spots. My signs of burnout are grumpiness with the other players and feelings of urgency, being in a hurry. Winning streaks are as stressful as a couple of back to back losses. The reason to play poker is to keep from working, not to work harder in life.
I don't like poker or poker games as much as I once did. There is a short term burnout and a long term burnout. There are tremendous opportunites in poker. Were I younger, I might be taking a go for broke attitude and trying for all this big money.
It is not how many pots you win or how many hours you play, it is how much money you win.
