It's pretty common knowledge that I have a big ego I think. I really think I am a great all around poker player who understands the game very well. Every once in a while (very very rarely) I will read something that really humbles me and shows me that I still have quite a bit to learn. I can think of two specific instances, one was in TOP (The Game Theory of Optimum Bluffing Frequency chapter) and the other was in this book.
Barry's hand analysis of a seven card stud hand where he explains the difference between the perfect play and the optimum play was nothing short of mind blowing to me. I don't remember it all that well but it ended up being something like calling the original bet on 7th, then the guy behind you raised, then you could come in and 3 bet it.
