The problem is that as soon as you lose any money you are playing under bankrolled and at a higher level than you have before and this is bound to affect your play.
You could easily have a bad hour or two when 4 tabling $200 NL and lose 5 buy-ins (a quarter of your roll). Psychologically you options are then to 'take a shot' under bankrolled or to drop down demoralised and back to the $50's where it will take a long grind to get back to where you were before you moved up.
The biggest bankroll related mistakes are moving up too fast and overstimation of your own abilities - move up because you have had 30k hands worth of solidly winning poker shown on PT, not because your roll has reached 20x the buy-in..

LOL thanx but there is a huge gap in skill and winnings between me and Ice - Ice has probably won 10x as much as me and has played up to the the $1000 NL tables. He is probably on a par with Xast, Kenny, D-roqqa etc.. just doesn't play full time.
Your best model for the $10-20k winners bracket is probably Luparfiend - he has done it a lot faster than me...Allstar's progress is also pretty stellar though you would have to be a student/unemployed or insomniac to imitate it..
