Hand 2: You have to raise preflop. Its hard enough being out of position against one guy. At least make the BB pay if he's staying in. The only exception is when you get mulitiple limpers and you know none will fold and you dont want to tie them to the pot. In that case, calling preflop and leading out on any board is something people have suggested, although i dont like that either.
Other than that, since you're going for the disguised hand approach, checking the flop is fine, but i'd checkraise it right there instead of holding off to the turn. Turn play is read dependent, but i'd cap it off against a lot of players.
Edit: since BB seems like a station, flat calling is ok too i guess (in the hope he'll go to showdown although he didnt in this case). You'd get the same amount of bets into the pot without putting further bets of your own in.Statistics: Posted by redhouse — Thu Sep 07, 2006 11:53 pm
