Third, as to the actual play, I don't mind 3rd street since isolating against the 1.2bb shortie, plus blinds and antes, on 3rd is kinda meh. Against normal stacks, unless their upcards are like A K Q J (your HH doesn't show upcards on 3rd, severely handicapping ability to give advice), I'd raise it up. Given the shortie's completion, this street is fine. Passive v. the J up card on 4th and 5th is fine so long as his board doesn't pair, you are getting odds to hit 2 pair. Once you hit trips on 6th but he also pairs his upcard, you still have to be a bit cautious. I like your raise, but if 3-bet I'd only call, especially since we don't have any reason to believe he has a wired pair and every reason to believe he was on split jacks. Obv. try to boat up or hit quads, and lose the max possible if you hit quads. Coolered. Even more coolered since this would be a jackpot hand at the cryptos. Run better plz.[/quote]
Yes, sorry about the HH. I pasted it straight from PTStud. When I played it back in that, I realised I only played it as the (relative to the stakes) short stack would be going all in anyway and it was hopefully 50/50 ish. Running uphill from the start, if I'd put the guy on Jacks on third, which I probably would of if I was fresh at the table. As it was, I was about three hours into a session. Yes, I need to run better. Much better. Thanks
