Bosox,
Two words Micheal Jordan. Pretty much the only team that didn't have a great big man winning lots of titles.
Whoever said KG was 253 # that number is probably off by 30 pounds or so. I do see him being a completely different player than TD. He is a big guard, small forward trapped in a weird body. I am not discounting how good he is but he can't be considered a big man.
The case can be made for Chamberlain, Russell and then Shaq. But I still would put Shaq in front of Russell for his sheer dominance on both ends of the court. Even this point is splitting hairs. He is one of the greatest players of all time (I am guessing most of the forum can agree on this?) joining a team full of talent. Im sure people said the same thing about randy moss when he was aquired by the Pats, oh he is washed up blah blah blah.
I would guess that Marions # will go down with the Heat and Shaqs will go up with the Suns. Looks like a great move to me.
Also Rodman could rebound? Bosox he is the greatest rebounder to ever step foot on a basketball court. Couple that with the greatest player ever and you might win a few championships without a Shaq.
Of course I think Jordan wins titles against any great team, whether it has Shaq or Chamberlain or anyone else, he was just a large cut above everyone else.Statistics: Posted by TableTiger1 — Thu Feb 07, 2008 4:33 pm
